About us

Hey, I’m Amit.

I’m just a regular guy who got way too obsessed with fragrances.

It started with one attar. Someone gifted me a small bottle, I wore it for a day, and something just clicked. I couldn’t stop smelling my own wrist. That was it — I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve spent more money on perfumes and attars than I’d like to admit. I’ve bought stuff that blew my mind for ₹200. I’ve also bought stuff for ₹2000 that I regretted within a day. I’ve tested attars in peak Rajasthan summers, experimented with layering combinations that made no sense, and annoyed everyone around me by asking “can you smell this?” every five minutes.

This blog is where I put all of that.

What smellsgood.in is about:

I write about fragrances — attars, perfumes, EDPs, home fragrances, incense, literally anything that smells good. I buy everything with my own money. Nobody’s sponsoring me. Nobody’s telling me what to say. If something smells amazing, I’ll tell you. If something popular is overhyped garbage, I’ll tell you that too.

I’m not a fragrance expert with fancy credentials. I’m just someone who uses a lot of fragrances every single day and has opinions about all of them. That’s it. That’s the whole qualification.

Why this blog exists:

Because most fragrance content in India is either YouTube videos I don’t have patience for, or blog posts that clearly just rewrote the product description from Amazon. I wanted a place where someone could get real, honest, experience-based opinions about fragrances without watching a 15-minute video or reading AI-generated nonsense.

So I made one.

If you care about smelling good — whether that’s a ₹150 incense stick for your room or a ₹3000 EDP for a special night — you’ll find something useful here.

Welcome. Hope your nose enjoys the ride.
